The Meadowbank Gamay comes off a small planting of 20+-year-old vines in the Derwent Valley. It was crafted by the talented hands of Peter Dredge. The 2019 vintage looks in fine form. A deeper, darker version of Gamay than many from the mainland. In a last-minute decision by the winemaker, there were no preservatives added to this wine, making it more open and enticing this close to bottling. This was only made in painfully small amounts this vintage. It will only be available for a limited time. If you love Gamay, this is a must try.
